    Default Steam client update released

    A Steam client update is now available. To apply the update, click the File menu inside of Steam and then select "Check for Steam Client Updates...". The specific changes include:

    Steam Client
    • Fixed Left 4 Dead 2 gifts not showing up in recipients games list until after redemption via email even if sent directly to the account
    • Fixed steam client displaying "scanning for updates" while decrypting newly unlocked content
    • Prevent client from displaying or allowing a user to select an unavailable language for a game
    • Improve game installation progress displayFixed games sometimes spuriously launching after they get updated

    I'd thought steam updates automatically? Like I just got this update for this thing called SDK
