A Steam client update is now available. To apply the update, click the File menu inside of Steam and then select "Check for Steam Client Updates...". The specific changes include:
  • Fixed backup/restore for games switched to the new content system
  • Fixed adding shortcuts to 3rd party games with Unicode path names
  • Fixed game configuration overrides from local content servers
  • Fixed stats and achievements getting out of sync with the community for users with slow internet connections
  • Fixed bug where dates of friend player names weren't shown in game overlay
  • Fixed crash in "Create New Account" dialogFixed crash on shutdown
