Thread: False Accusations #2

1) I was playing in the server with my friend Konstantine (In other thread), and we have started to really get into this server, and my friend was doing very well, and was accused of hacking (as he has reported) and admins had neglected everything he had to say. He was banned for 2 hours and we came back. he was then perma banned. Today i was playing (to taunt him that i could and he couldnt XP) and he tried and got in, his perma ban was gone! Yay. About 20 minutes after, Noir had banned us both, Konstantine, for being amazing (yuy) and me, just because i have the FML in front of our names. This also accured after a very lucky round Konstantine had encountered.

2) This ban (first for me, 3rd for Konstantine) happened just shortly after 9:00PM PST on Sunday, March 22, 2009.

4)STEAM UserID STEAM_0:1:17220536

5) Although I do not have any demo's, Konstantine, has demo's of his first 2 ban's, though he wasnt recording just recently when this latest ban happened.

We will discuss both bans later.

Just to say i played with them befor and they are good... they where not hacking when i was playing. But yea Noir gona have to fix you up. He banned you he must have a reason

I think I'm kind responsible for banning Konstantine also... Many people in the server were saying that he's been pre-firing alot. I also spected him to make sure he was actually hacking, but some of his plays were just not legit in my eyes. Though I may be wrongg.

I don't remember myself prefiring, but other people seem to think I was. I don't really know everyone's definition of prefiring. I may have sprayed through double doors a few times before someone turned the corner because I have headphones for a reason. Also I may have known some peoples position because my friend and I were on mics in steam chat.

I am kind of tired of getting accused of hacking in any game I do well in. I built this computer because I wanted to get back into competitive gaming in CSS like I had in 1.6. without my computer only giving me 40 frames a second on dust. My computer now pushes out 150+ fps on highest settings. I built this computer as now I can blame myself for doing bad rather than my computer. Also, I didn't spend 200+ dollars on headphones and a sound card to not use it to the greatest potential. I listen for footsteps and such all the time, even as I'm shooting someone else. I don't know how other people play their games but headphones are fabulous when you know how to use them. Maybe this is why people thought I was walling or something as I knew where people were?; I don't really know.

Yes I know its a pub, and that I probably try to hard in pubs. However, I do this because maybe I'll get recognized by a half decent team to go CEVO or CAL like I had in 1.6. It turns out I do get recognized; but only as a cheater, and not someone who is half decent at this game.

To be quite honest, I loved playing in Compulsive. After the first ban I received for no reason my friend was really disappointed that I got banned. This is because every time he or I refresh his/my servers we see it at the top with the exact number of people we like playing against. It sucks that we can't play together in it. The registry of shots in the server seems nice and accurate which I give props to you guys and compulsive for. Also, I always seem to do well in it. I'm starting to worry that doing well isn't a good thing anymore.

I don't know if anyone will take the time to read this or even care to unban me. I do know that I am not a hacker though.

If you could have constantine post the demos you said he has, I wasn't there But i have a pretty good eye for most hacking been around the competitive scene and have played with great players So i'm sure we can get this resolved. Sorry for any inconvenience H20 thanks for bringing the matter to us in the correct way. And I can attest that doing well in pubs is definetly hard to get noticed in the correct way best ways to get noticed are to scrim with popular teams hang around teh popular IRC chans looking for pickup scrims. Well as soon as we can get some demos We can get this resolved I'll take care of this tonight if possible when I get home from work. Thanks again H20. Hope we havent given you a sour taste of our servers.

FML isn't really a clan, just more of a tag. I really want to join a clan who does scrims and such.

Well, the first demo was started mid game, when the accusations started. It ended with me being banned for 120. The rejoin demo is when I rejoined the server after two hour ban was over. Just to get perma banned (if you look in console).

For some reason though I was shortly unbanned after (or before) I posted my initial post. As my friend and I enjoy playing in the server I stayed in and started going 50 and 6 or something like that. Unfortunately I don't have a demo of this. =/ The game would've been perfect to have a demo of too.

I know I'm gonna get flamed for not having a demo of this game, and even in the demos I do provide I didn't really play that well because I was getting flamed by "HEAT" and "CHOOSHIM" or whatever his name is. I constantly was trying to defend my position, but noone would listen to me. I suspect people are going to say that I toggled off for these demos, its just the way the people on the internet are. =/

I really don't have anymore proof atm. =/

Thanks for the post man. I've tried going through IRC channels a year back or so, before I took a break from this game. I came out with no luck. I kind of gave up on the idea.
As for scrimming, I don't really have many friends that are serious about this game so I can't really get into scrims at all as a ringer or something. They all play like texture maps; maps that I used to play frequently with my old computer.

I do see both sides in this situation, I do understand how peoples minds work and why people accuse me of cheating. To be quite honest, in pubs, anyone good is shown in a dark light. I know that me posting these demo's won't be much help because of how poorly I actually do in them. When people constantly nag you that you are cheating, generally you don't do very well and you get frustrated; especially when you try to defend your position but no admin nor person in the server will listen. People will automatically assume I've toggled off, which is how any human mind generally would work. I don't know, I'm kind of explaining what you guys will think because I'm trying to show you that I'm not hiding anything. To be quite honest, would a hacker really go this far just to get unbanned from a server?

H20 literally is one of my best friends, and has watched me play this game in real life. I know that this doesn't say much either but I thought I would put it out there.

To further my ramble, I have to say the last time I got banned (after the two hour and "perm" ban) I saw around 3-4 admins (or members of Compulsive) spectating me. I kind of want their light on this situation. It was Rose, and 3 other members that I don't exactly remember.

I honestly don't know what else to say, so I'll let you guys have a turn. It's 5 in the morning and I have yet to sleep a wink... with school in 3 hours.

Just giving my 2 cents about hacking or being accused of hacking.

I always get called a hacker in the Dust 2 server, i always tell them dude if you cant handle someone being better then you the find yourself a new game. Or stfu 8 dig noob (i can say that since i run on a old school 5.)

Anyway i used to be in the same place as you 2 when i was playing in pubs. Getting banned for having a good score or for a HEADSET. Shit i got used to it and just say fuck it.

By the way your writing this i can say you pro don't hack. Just because you use terms like Headset (sound) people don't usually play with one so they don't hear what you hear.

I will deff look at the 2 demos you got there once i get out of my damn class. But for right now, i think if someone gives the effort in coming on a site to request a unban, he is more then unlikely to have cheated. But if you do cheat i still belife in a 2nd chance. But if you fuck up then and anyone does have a demo proofing it then yea...... you just fucked up.

Anyway once i get home ill look at the demos and see whats going on.

Okay so i watched both demos. At the part where HEAT says "Dude you prefired him so badly" that was not a prefire..... and why would he recorde a demo and cheat on it to post here?!

I think people need to seriously learn what prefire means. He was around the corner and at least 1 sec passed befro he even shot the guy.

We would not flame you for any reason in this site, there is no reason to, I will look at the demos and just sit tight and be patient i know this may feel like a long proses but we take all of it very seriously, Our admins including myself are human and can make mistakes that is the whole reason to have this area. Anyhow i will look over the demos again and there will most likely be a dissision by tonight. Thank you for your patience.
