Thread: Please Read

As I have communicated to some members here and as outlined in my application to Compulsive, I have a keen interest in obtaining a leadership position. The potential that Compulsive has is exceptional; the people here that I have encountered are fantastic to say the least. The scrims that I have played with some of you have been nothing short of awesome. The attitude and sportsmanship which has always been exhibited really sets this community apart from others. However there is many different areas in which the community can improve. I understand I am new here I am not taking the time to write this to waste anyone’s time including my own. I have thought about posting this and have taken some time to think about whether I would have the time and interest to keep dedicated and ultimately build something that is strong. This would not be my first time attempting something like this and I have been successful in the past. What I believe in is structure, not the controlling type with rules and regulation but more of a responsibility being shared between individuals. There needs to be a balance however, when you have no consistency it quickly becomes disorganized and issues will arise sooner or later.

Honestly I believe the first and most important stage is the communication with what I perceive needs to be completed. There needs to be a consistent “Code of Conduct” or something which holds similar meaning. To allow Admin’s to have a properly written documentation to refer to. Recruitment is another essential item that needs to be approached in a dynamic fashion. There are many outlets that can be used for Community recruitment there are many fourms that exist that are created for this purpose. MIRC and the game servers themselves can also provide a good recruitment asset.

As stated above the first step to all this would be communication, the most important thing to ever have in any leadership role is competence and communication. Organization would be the first priority and ultimately the foundation and core principles of Compulsive.

Hey, I'd like to start by saying that this was very well put, and I think you'll probably get most of our support, maybe after a little discussion amongst ourselves, but I don't see any reason for it to be a problem.

I think we have some mutual goals in common but like you said, it takes time and commitment, and I hope to see more growth in the future. Deano's put forth a ton of effort to keep Compulsive alive over the years and I'd like to see it grow just as much as he does.

I hope to see this motivation of yours in the future, and I'd like to thank you for taking the time to make this post.

It would have to be discussed fist and foremost, but i agree with your post for the most part and think that there are areas to work on.
