Ok so I need some help with tactics relating to Black Ops and I figure you guys have some insight you could share with this Noob.
I'm still new to Black Ops after having played CoD1 for the last decade or however long it's been since its release. The flow of that game is pretty much the same, run around and shoot everything in sight (most servers don't turn friendly fire off because people tk on purpose quite often). But Black Ops is a different animal.
Basically I've been putting up good numbers overall but then I'll end up on some really bad team and the momentum will shift dramatically to where the enemy knows exactly where I am and I end up getting spawn killed to death or shot over and over in spawn by some stupid heli. I don't want to quit and abandon my team, making things even worse but on the other hand I don't feel like I'm having a whole lot of fun either. Certainly there are some tactics that can be used in this situation that I'm not accustomed to. I'd really appreciate any help or advice you all can give me at this time.

I've found that after dieing and respawning that I run in one direction with my team and turn around 15-30seconds later to "run" into the team so I don't get shot in the back.
It doesn't always work becauae I'm naturally terrible at the game and my ping sucks but generally it helps me not get killed from behind all the time.

Other than that I can't help Phayze or lifeline would be better suited to this question as they are pretty good at the game.

I seem to notice a chance of turning the momentum around when after you get killed and respawn, you find your teammates and stick together, covering each other. This only works however if you all work together as a team and the server doesn't spawn you in a location filled with enemies (like it often does).
