SKILLS:

This is how we are going to skill up our frenzier.

20 frenzy (no brainer, this is your main attack)
20 axe/sword mastery (this would be adding damage to frenzy)
20 battle orders (this is for survival)
20 berserk
1 in iron skin (pre-req to natural resists)
1 in natural resists (we would love to pump this a little more, but we will have to abstain from doing so)
1 in double swing (pre-req to frenzy)
1 in howl (pre-req to battle orders)
1 in taunt (pre-req to battle orders)
1 in shout (pre-req to battle orders)
1 in battle command (adds a nice +1 skills)
1 in increased stamina (pre-req for increased speed)
1 in increased speed (awesome to run around when in town, and when not frenzied)

The rest of the points (if you level to over 88) would go into double swing or taunt, since they synergize your frenzy.

STATS:

Now, let’s get down to this. This stat setup is gonna make your barb great fun to play. If you choose axes, you don’t need any dex (axes have low dex reqs). If you choose swords, put just enough points in dex to use them. Now walk out of town, cast BO, and begin statting vita. Pump vita till you have around 3k hp with BO. Dump the "Yellow"]rest of the points into str. Reasoning: 3k hp is more than enough to survive in pvm. And more str allows you to kill baddies faster, making your runs quicker and rushes faster. Anything over 3k hp is overkill and not needed.

EQUIPMENT:
I will be detailing the MF gear as first option and the generally best frenzy gear as the second option.

Helm: Immortal King’s Helm – Get one with 40 MF and socket it with 2 x 15ias 15res jewels.

The BEST Frenzy helm is Guilame’s face socketed with 15ias 15res jewel.

Armor: Enigma – Massive strength, Good MF, Ability to teleport. This is a perfect MFers armor. (It’s perfect for a lot of chars lol, they need to nerf this thing in 1.13 )

Weapons: EBotD Colossus Blade + Eth Death Colossus Sword or both in zerkers if you choose axe.. EbotdZ and EDeathZ

This is one area where you should give up MF for efficiency. I have seen people with 700 MF who end up taking 10 minutes for a single MF run. And there are people with 250 MF who take just 2 minutes for a run. Due to the mechanics of MF and diminishing returns of MF (which I am not discussing here), it is far better to have a lower MF with faster killing speed. For this reason, we will be using ebotd and edeath.

On switch have dual wizzys. They allow you to teleport as fast as a pvp sorc (barbs and sorcs have the same fcr breakpoints).

Gloves: Chance Guards
40 MF. You can afford to get your MF here.

If you don’t want the MF, Laying of Hands is one of the best gloves for a frenzy barb. Use it. 20 ias, damage bonus to demons and resists.

Belt:
For MFers, go forgoldwrap (upped once or twice). 10% ias will help your frenzy speed, 30 MF too.

The best belt overall for a frenzy barb is String of Ears, it is far better than your dungos. It has an equal DR% (15), but it also has life leech, which you need. With the attack speed of frenzy, if you have enough life leech, it would act almost like lifetap.

Boots:
War Travelers
50 MF. These provide a nice addition to damage as well.

If you don’t want the MF, gores are one of the best boots for a frenzy barb. Deadly Strike, Open wounds and Crushing blow are awesome mods.

Amulet:
Highlords
This amulet once again has your favorite mod, Deadly Strike. In combination with Death, you’ll have almost 100% Deadly Strike, which means EVERY hit that you make will do DOUBLE the damage that you actually do

You also get +1 skills and useful ias from this amulet.

Rings:
#1 Ravenfrost – 20 dex and Cannot be frozen mods
#2 Rare Ring – Get a 10 fcr ring with GOOD resists (preferable dual resist of 20+ each).
In combination with dual wizzys, you’ll have 110 fcr (fcr bp is 105 for barbs)

Charms: Torch, anni, a good gheeds and a few 7mfscs. This is customizable. Feel free to throw in a few resist charms if you feel you need more resists. Throw in a few mf scs if you have them lying around. Feel free to experiment here.

General Best Gear For Frenzy:
Helm: Guilame’s socketed with 15 ias 15 res jewel
Weapons: Eth Death Colossus Sword on glove side + Eth Breath of the Dying Colossus Blade on boot side (wsm bug them) or
Eth Death Berserker Axe on boot side + Eth Breath of the Dying Berserker Axe on glove side.

Boots: War Travelers with high MF
Ring 1: Ravenfrost (preferably 20 dex)
Ring 2: Fcr ring with good resists

MERCENARY:
A mercenary is VERY important to a MF Frenzier. He will potentially DOUBLE your damage. That’s right. Ultimately, with your enormous deadly strike which doubles your damage and your merc who helps you double your damage, you will be doing FOUR times the damage you expect to do with your weapons. This is the reason Frenzy barbs OWN PvM.

Your mercenary should be a Act 2 Might merc. His aura will boost your damage extremely. The ideal gear you can give him is not even expensive. It’s quite cheap.

Weapon: Eth/Non-Eth Reaper’s Toll Thresher (40/15 or 15/15 in this)
On first look, this weapon seems a noobish polearm, but to those who know the techniques and nuances of the game, it is an AWESOME weapon. Reasons:
33% chance to cast decrepify – Decrepify is a curse that SLOWS monsters and AMPLIFIES the damage they take. With a 33% chance, your merc will cast it often, and you’ll end up doing amplified damage to mobs.
More Deadly strike for the merc.
LifeLeech – to help him survive
Ignore Target’s Defense, meaning that he’ll hit irrespective of the monster’s defense.

Armor: Eth Treachery
Again, this looks a noob armor, but it’s quite the opposite. Reasons:
45 IAS (your merc’s ias will SHOOT up, because he’s attacking with insane speed (45 ias will get him past the next 2 ias breakpoints)

Helm: Guilame’s (with 40/15 or 15/15)
This makes him a boss killer. 35 Crushing blow. 15Deadly Strike combined with 33 from his weapon gives him almost 50% DS, which means he does DOUBLE DAMAGE every alternate hit.

AS A PVM FRENZY BARB, YOUR MERC AND YOU PLAY HAND IN HAND. ALWAYS HAVE HIM NEXT TO YOU. IF HE WANDERS, TELEPORT TO MAKE HIM UNDERSTAND THAT YOU ARE THE BOSS AND YOU CALL THE SHOTS :…:

ALWAYS KEEP HIM NEAR YOU, THIS WOULD MEAN BOTH OF YOU TAKE LESS DAMAGE, WHILE DOING MORE DAMAGE TO MOBS AROUND YOU.

IMPORTANT:

Frenzy is IAS dependent, so you should ALWAYS have the ias needed for your 5 fpa frenzy. I will list out a few common weapon combos and the necessary ias for max frenzy speed.

For Frenzy skill level 24-26
Phase Blade + Phase Blade = 44 ias needed
Colossus Sword + Phase Blade (wsm bugged) = 8 ias needed
Colossus Sword + Colossus Blade (wsm bugged) = 120 ias needed
Berserker Axe + Berserker Axe = 117 ias needed
